The official ring contains 9.80 carats of white diamonds and 1.40 carats of natural red rubies. White stones provide the ice-like brilliance expected from a Stanley Cup ring, while red stones connect the design to Carolina’s primary team color. The top centers the Hurricanes identity inside a layered red, black and silver presentation.
Why the number 53 appears in diamonds
One side displays “2026” with 53 points of diamonds. That number represents Carolina’s 53 regular-season victories. The Hurricanes finished 53-22-7, leading both the Metropolitan Division and the Eastern Conference before beginning their remarkable playoff run.
66 red rubies for 66 playoff goals
A line of 66 natural red rubies circles the ring. Each ruby corresponds to one goal scored during the championship postseason. The feature turns a team total into a continuous border, suggesting the sustained pressure that defined Carolina’s run.
The meaning of 69 and 42
The official description identifies 69 points of red rubies around the central interior design, recognizing the team’s combined regular-season and postseason victories. Another 42 white diamonds surround the North Carolina state flag, honoring the goals scored during the Eastern Conference Final and Stanley Cup Final.
“Stress Game” and the rope motif
The phrase “STRESS GAME” appears on the side as a tribute to Carolina’s pace, pressure and constant attack. A sculpted rope wraps around the ring to represent teamwork and the locker-room idea that every player must pull on the same rope. Together, these details make the ring feel specific to the Hurricanes rather than interchangeable championship jewelry.
A removable puck with a hidden Stormy
One of the most unusual features is a removable championship puck pendant. The puck is engraved with the Stanley Cup and personalized with the player’s number. Removing it reveals Stormy, the Hurricanes mascot, rendered in rubies and diamonds inside the shank.
